Chambre d'Hotes

The Chambre d'Hotes or "Bed and Breakfast" French style: for one or several nights, you will be welcomed as a friend by a family. They have converted their house (farm, character, Touraine-style, manor or country house, castle…) so as to welcome you.

Each house is set in quiet and pleasant surroundings and includes maximum 6 bedrooms. As a prelude to your exploring Touraine and the Loire Valley, your stay will be marked by friendliness. A generous breakfast always included in room rates will give you the opportunity to enjoy various local specialities.

The lady of the house bakes to inspiration: you might savour home-made jams, fresh farmhouse bread, but also home-made cakes or Viennese pastries and local cheeses, dairy products or cooked pork meats: from early morning, communication and conviviality prevail.

 Rating

The Gîtes de France CHARMANCE label guarantees definite standards of convenience (1,2,3 and 4 ear-of-corn rating) and the respect of a national charter. All accommodation undergo regular checks and ratings.

The rating varies according to architectural quality, environment, level of convenience, decoration and the amenities provided. Whatever the rating of the B&B you choose, the owners will have at heart the pleasantness of your stay.

Basic rooms.		Fairly comfortable rooms, each with at least a private shower room or bathroom.		Very comfortable rooms, each with full private bathroom (shower, bath, washbasin and toilet).		Outstandingly comfortable rooms, each with full private bathroom. They are converted inside character houses set in pleasant surroundings. Extra amenities are often on offer.

Table d'Hotes meal

Many lady owners offer a table d'hôtes meal (menu of the day shared with owners).
This very flexible option (one meal, half or full board) will enable you to share a family or a gourmet meal. Please note that the table d'hôtes option is only available to people staying in the bedrooms. The table d'hôtes is not a restaurant. We therefore recommend that you specify your wish to avail yourself of this service on booking. If table d'hôtes is not available, the owners will be able to direct you to the best nearby restaurants in order for you to discover traditional and local culinary delights.

 Prices

The nightly rates are set according to the number of persons in the same room. Breakfast is always included.
For the table d'hôtes option, the rates (given as a rough guide) are all-inclusive (starter, main course, cheese and/or dessert, coffee, drinks). A reduced price for children's meals is on offer with a number of family rooms.

 How can I book?

Our Internet site enables you to book on-line "Chambre d'hôtes". You can choose your gîte according to your needs and your dates, book and send a deposit within 10 days or, if you wish, confirm on the spot with your credit card number. Depending on the gîte you have chosen, you can also contact the booking agency Val de Loire Tourisme. You will be sent a booking contract.  Helpful tips

In case you arrive later than planned, don't forget to call the owner.

Always keep in mind that you are going to stay with a family and that service is not to be compared to the standard of hotel facilities.

The room cleaning is carried out daily (for extended stays, fresh bed linen are provided at least once a week and bathroom linen twice a week).

If you travel with your children, a number of owners can provide a small extra bed; others offer family rooms (3 or 4 beds) or two en-suite rooms.
