Rural Gite

A Gite is a self-catering house or flat located in the countryside. It comprises one or several bedrooms, a living/dining room, a kitchenette or a kitchen and bathroom. It can be rented for a few days, for a weekend or for one or several full weeks, in particular during school holidays. The owners will give you a warm welcome on arrival.

The Gîtes de France quality label guarantees definite standards of convenience (1,2,3,4 and 5 ear-of-corn rating) and the respect of a national charter.

All Gites of France country accommodation undergo regular checks. All are tourist accommodation classified by the terms of the French law (by-law dated 28/12/1976, as amended).

 Rating

	Outdoor area, garden furniture; one shower room and WC up to 6 persons, second shower room over 7 persons; rotisserie or mini-oven, hob, pressure cooker, fridge, basic cleaning stuff, iron, highchair on request.
	In addition to or instead of 1-ear-of-corn gîte: barbecue (except local bans), washing machine over 6 persons, blender, coffee machine, TV aerial socket, bed, household and bathroom linen on request *.
	In addition to or instead of 2-ear-of-corn gîte: separate access and private garden, 2 WC over 7 persons, washing machine, dishwasher over 5 persons*, oven, colour TV*, telephone*, cleaning service on request.
	In addition to or instead of 3-ear-of-corn gîte: character house, high-quality environment and interior decoration, fireplace or wood-burning stove (except local dispensation); microwave oven, fridge with freezer compartment, electric tumble dryer over 6 persons.
	In addition to or instead of 4-ear-of-corn gîte: private landscaped park or garden, use of leisure facilities (such as tennis, pool, sauna or jacuzzi), garage or car port; over 3 persons, electric dishwasher and tumble dryer, hi-fi, VCR.
* By dispensation, these equipments or amenities may not be provided in some accommodation. In that case, their absence will be specified on booking.

Whatever the rating, you might find in some accommodation extra equipments or amenities as specified in the accommodation description.

 Prices

Prices correspond to the overall rental costs.

Rental prices can cover a week (from Saturday 4 pm to Saturday 10 am) or a weekend.
Depending on the rating, bed and household linen and cleaning service can be provided on request. Heating is very rarely included in rental prices.

All details regarding this issue appear on the booking contract. We recommend that you ask for an estimate of daily heating costs.

 How can I book?

Our Internet site enables you to book on-line. You can choose your gîte according to your needs and your dates, book and send a deposit within 10 days or, if you wish, confirm on the spot with your credit card number. Depending on the gîte you have chosen, you can also contact the booking agency Val de Loire Tourisme or contact directly the Owner if his address and phone number appear on the accommodation description.

Whatever the case, you will be sent a booking contract.
If it has been sent by Loisirs Accueil, you are offered an option of cancellation protection.

 Helpful tips

If you wish to travel with your pet, make sure on booking that pets are admitted.

For peak periods (long weekends, school holidays), don't forget to book several weeks in advance.
Consult the French school calendar on the government site.

For your short stays, we offer you the 'relaxation week-end' option, from Friday 6 pm to Sunday 6 pm. This option enables you to enjoy your weekend to the full:

• On your arrival, the gîte has been heated.
• Linen, cleaning products and basic groceries are supplied.
• No cleaning to be done at the end of the weekend!

If you travel with young children, a number of owners make your life easier: they offer you facilities for babies.
