 A fishing gite (Gite de pêche) is "Gîtes de France" label accommodation specially designed for angling enthusiasts. They are situated near a fishing area.
All fishing gites offer the following facilities :
- An easily accessible ground-floor area for storing fishing equipment, boots, waders, rods, etc.;
- A tank for keeping live bait where this type of fishing is available
- A local map highlighting fishing areas
In addition, some owners may provide a small boat for second-category, rivers, streams and lakes, and a range of angling books and periodicals. |
